Let JBuGS help you with your project and you can count on the best service and parts. As our motto says, "If we wouldn't use it on our own car, we won't sell it".

Here are a few of the projects we have worked on over the years.

Julio's 1967 Vert

Ulises' 67 Vert was made to be a "Driver" with class! The car features quality through out. He enjoyed the car as a daily driver for 4 years, and didn't baby it! Unfortunately, he sold the car recently to finance his next project, so keep an eye out for another great looking car to be coming from him soon!

Julio's 1966 Bus/ Type 2
Another of his many project cars *(also has a convertible Ghia and safari themed Green Beetle on the shelf). This daily driver bus was often seen parked outside our old location.

Sams '74 Thing

Sam's 1974 Thing was a "nut and bolt" restoration, literally. Not a single nut was left alone. The restoration was supposed to be for his father-in-law, but then ended back in his (Sam's) possession as it turned out to be a wedding present for Sam and his wife, Lisa. Unfortunately the car was sold to finance their wedding, but it was an outstanding car none the less winning numerous trophies and a few "Best ofs". This car featured TMI Seat Upholstery, and Carpet but most of the customization pictured was personally done by Sam himself.

Sams 1972 Daily Driver Beetle

Some VWs are show cars, some are daily drivers, others are weekend get-away cars. Sam's 72 Standard Beetle is a get-away car, not that he'll be out robbing banks! He likes to get out to the Southern California mountains and deserts, proving that VWs are the ORIGINAL SUV!

Stepping away from the typical VW customization and utilizing his years of off-road racing and general VW experience, Sam lifted his Beetle with VW Thing front suspension and modified rear suspension. Simple modifications make this car super durable and reliable. Sam will typically take this little VW out for 200 mile trips and it has never skipped a beat. He likes to take it to work occasionally as well so if you happen to stop by our warehouse keep and eye out. His car is a work in progress so keep checking back for more mods and pics to come!

Gary's '64 Cvt.

This car was built for cruising. Gary started this restoration with the intent of having a show car for our booth at car shows but the summer sun and cool Oceanside breeze were irresistible. Locals would spot this head turning 64 Convertible cruising Hwy 101 after work and on the weekends. Featured Tweed/Vinyl full insert seats, TMI Canvas top and custom door panels.

Garrett's 1969 Beetle.

This beauty is yet another example of a high school students restoration on a budget. Garrett showed us anything was possible with a little elbow grease and determination. Only 17 years old at the time, he hand sanded, primed, painted, replaced the complete interior, and all exterior rubber components. He has since gone away to college, and left this bug behind. However this 69 coupe still cruises by the shop every now and then while on Garrett is on summer vacation.
