The VW Turn Signal Switch fits 1956-1959 Beetles, 1956-1959 Karmann Ghias and 1955-1959 Type 2 Bus models. The turn signal switch is a six wire unit (power in from relay, power in from brake light switch, power out to left front, power out to right front, power out to left rear, power out to right rear). The knob is not included with the turn signal switch.

The VW Turn Signal Switch wiring is a very simple circuit. The designations for the wires are:

Black White Green Wire: 49a OR "L" Terminal on Flasher Relay
Black wire with White Stripe: Power to left front turn signals
Black wire with Green Stripe: Power to right front turn signals
Black wire with Purple Stripe: Power from brake light switch Black/Red wire
Black wire with Yellow Stripe: Power to left rear turn signal/brake light
Black wire with Red Stripe: Power to right rear turn signal/brake light
