I bought this 1978 Super Beetle way back in 1989. It is a Champagne Edition Bug and was triple white when I bought it. It has since had two new tops installed and two new interiors. It has been repainted two more times.

The most important part of the car is the real wood dash that my father carved from the original by hand. It reminds me of him every time I get in the car and even if I decide to redo car again, it will always remain as a permanent memory to how he loved this little Bug as much as I do.

I refer to her as my Nickel Bug. My name and my wife’s name combined. The front mats are monogrammed with her name.
