German made VW king pin set. Fits 1946-65 VW Bug and 1956-65 VW Karmann Ghia. Sold as a 10 piece set, one kit has enough parts for left and right sides.
Pressing the brass king pin bushings into the steel carrier "shrinks" the bushings. VW designed this "shrink to fit" and along with the VW 224 reamer to open the bushings up to the correct size for the king pin. An original or reproduction reamer (or a .710" reamer) is must be used or the king pin WILL NOT fit into the bushing after it is installed. Suspension components (like most things nowadays) are made around the world, by various manufacturers. A German suspension component comes from a German manufacturing company that may have numerous factories around the globe. Regardless of where the part is made, if it is labeled as a German part, it comes from a German company that has manufactured that component at a facility that is owned by them, and it is made to their high standards of quality and fitment.
