Off Roading puts a strain on VW Dune Buggy Engines and their components. Whether it be the various heat cycles of running and stopping to relax or the full throttle strain of hill climbs or long sandy washes, off road engine hardware takes the abuse. Make sure your VW Dune Buggy engine is assembled using the best possible components.
We offer chromoly case studs to securely hold your heads to the engine in 8mm & 10mm sizes for stock and larger stroke cranks. Threaded galley plugs to replace the stock units when rebuilding your engine and case savers to ensure your studs won't pull out of the case. We offer engine lock nuts that are bright zinc plated with a nylock insert to prevent loosening.
We offer most all of the engine case hardware you will need if your are starting with a bare engine case. Dipstick adapters or block offs are available if you are using a new universal case. We also offer oil relief plugs, fuel pump block offs and just about any other piece of engine hardware your dune buggy will need.
Engine Case Hardware
Chromoly 8mm and 10mm studs in stock and +12.7mm lengths for dual and single ports heads. 8mm and 10mm hardware kits with hardened head nuts and washers are available in engine case hardware kits. We also offer engine lock nut kits, and complete engine hardware kits.
Dipsticks, Adapters & Block Offs
Some aftermarket cases and all Type 3 engine cases don't have a standard dipstick hole so we have an adapter plate with tube that allows you to check your oil level. We of course offer dipsticks for the tube in various lengths and we even have a dipstick tube seal to help keep some of the dirt out of your dune buggy engine.
Fuel Pump Block Offs
If you've swapped the stock mechanical fuel pump on your Baja Bug or sand rail, make sure you cap the hole on the case. We offer a simple case aluminum block to a billet fuel pump block off and even a fuel pump block off with a built in coil mount.
