Getting your dune buggy or Baja Bug to the desert is easy with a tow bar. For front beams that aren't too modified, just slide the Standard Beetle tow bar under the beam and pin it in place. For highly modified off road buggys, a Super Beetle tow bar may be modified to fit.
If you are trailering your dune buggy to the desert, we have a variety of axle straps and tie downs to hold your precious cargo securely to the trailer. Axle straps can be used to wrap around the chassis, trailing arm or frame giving you a place to attach a tie down. The straps can be especially handy if you are trying to protect a freshly powder coated or painted frame.
Tow straps are available in ratings from 3300 to 10000 pounds. We can personally attest to the need for straps and their strength! We've used the 10000 pound straps to tow out stuck diesel trucks towing loaded toy box trailers. So, in case your Baja Bug breaks down, or your buddie's dune buggy gets stuck, make sure you have a tow strap to get you back to camp!
Tow bars can be used on street legal off road Bugs and buggies. Make sure to use a safety chain and tow lights whenever towing!
Cam lock and ratcheting tie downs can attach to axle straps to hold your cargo securely.
If you've off roaded for any length of time you know the value of a good tow strap. Make sure the strap is rated to tow your vehicle's weight.
