The replacement Pertronix Flame Thrower SVDA Distributor Ignitor 1 Electronic Ignition Module can be used with any Pertronix replacement VW SVDA Flamethrower distributor to replace a burnt out unit. This is a direct replacement for the module in the PTD186504 distributor but be used in the D7182504 (Ignitor 3) or D189504 (6 volt) units to replace their units with this 12 volt, Ignitor 1 module.

A coil with 3 to 4.2 ohms of resistance is required with the Pertronix Ignitor Ignition Module. Pertronix recommends the 40611 or PT40501 coil, available separately in the Additional Options tab above.

Also note, Suppression or Spiral wound spark plug wires must be used with the Ignitor, solid core plug wires will cause electronic interference!
