In April of 1981, my senior year of high school, I bought my first car. It was a 1969 VW Beetle. I bought it for $800 and then I fixed it up in that Cali style, as I did live in California my whole life up too this point. After having it for 2 years I had an accident and the car was a total loss.

I purchased a '67 shortly after that as a project, but soon I got married and started a family and regretfully I sold the '67. 38 years later I moved to Michigan and found this yellow Beettle and it been the best thing ever.....vwlifeforlife
