This car is heavily featured in our JBugs Restoration Video Series with 94 videos covering it's rebuild but we wanted to share a few still images of how it all came together.
You would barely recognize Sam's car versus when we first started this restoration. It had mismatched green and gold paint with a crusty interior. However, when the opportunity presented itself for Sam to make a video series for Super Beetles and he found a suitable candidate and took up the job. The result is the beautiful Laguna Seca Blue, Euro or "German" Look Super Beetle you see above. Nearly $35K worth of new parts and $25K in paint and body work went into this restoration and the end results show it.
This car was sold at Mecum Auction in April 2023 and bought by a specialty auto dealer that has listed the car for nearly twice the auction price. That should give you an idea of the build quality that went into this one of a kind restoration. We're proud of the car and the way it turned out but we're looking forward to the next project!
