This is my 1974 Bug who I affectionately call Layla. My family collects classic cars, and I've always had a soft spot for Beetles. The first toy car I picked out as a baby was a Beetle, and though I couldn't talk, I cried until my mom rolled the stroller back in front of the toy on the shelf.

I've had her for about a year and a half now, I bought her when I was 19 after saving and saving for what seemed like ages. I'm her third owner, and she's a time capsule full of original details. She's my passion project, and I have such a great time working on her and making her more and more my own. I see her as a canvas that I've filled with a reflection of my personality. I hope my family will enjoy her for generations to come.
