This is my freshly restored "McLovin" 72 Sunroof Super on her maiden 500 mile break-in day trip to route 66 and back to Yuma, AZ on a 100 degree day.

I bought it for my son for his first car. It was a typical $500 Bug. I don't know what's wrong with these kids these days, but he decided he was not in love with it after the fact. So, I drove it until it wore itself the rest of the way out for about 2 years.

Then I tore her down to the pan and spent another year and a half touching every nut, bolt, screw, wire, etc. to restore her. Everything was done in the garage, where dreams become reality, including the paint.
