My husband presented me with "Sunshine" at my 50th birthday party, surrounded by friends and family. The party was not a surprise but I was certainly not expecting a 1974 Super Beetle Convertible!

I've always wanted a classic Beetle but never actually dreamed I would be the proud owner. My husband bought Sunshine and secretly stored her for 6 months before surprising me. She's nearly perfect! Her interior needed a bit of TLC so my husband replaced the seats, interior upholstery and carpeting. I thought I had always wanted a blue Beetle so my husband offered to paint her. But now I can't imagine any other color. She's perfect the way she is.

I still get choked up when I think of that first moment I saw her. She's so fun to drive and I love the smiles I get when I beep her horn. Honestly, she brings a smile to everyone who sees her.

Best gift ever from the best husband in the world. I'm not sure if I deserve either but I'm grateful for both. In this crazy world we live in, there is still so much that is good.
