Sam's 1974 Thing was a "nut and bolt" restoration, literally. Not a single nut was left alone. The restoration was supposed to be for his father-in-law, but then ended back in his (Sam's) possession as it turned out to be a wedding present for Sam and his wife, Lisa. Unfortunately the car was sold to finance their wedding, but it was an outstanding car none the less, winning numerous trophies and a few Best Of Shows. This car featured TMI Seat Upholstery and a Canvas Convertible Top but most of the customization pictured was personally done by Sam himself.
