In 1994, while driving down a once rural road in NJ that I had been down a thousand times before, I looked behind and old house and saw the distinct rear bumper of an old Beetle peeking through the doors of an old classic rundown garage. I drove down the drive and knocked on the old house door and spoke to the elderly lady who said it was Her's and she parked it over 20 years ago. I asked if she would sell it and she said I could go take a look if I like. I offered her $400 cash and she said she would only need to ask her fiancé. I returned the next day with the cash in hand and she told me that he said he was going to fix it up but she will sell it to me anyway. I hooked it up to my 89 Bronco II and the rest is history.
