A very simple installation that can make a big difference for your VW Interior. Especially if your sunvisors are flopping around as you drive. Follow along with one of our techs as he shows you how to install new sunvisors in your VW.
Alright today for a very quick video, we're gonna show you how to install our sun visors and visor clips. This is something that's not needed for this restoration currently but it is a question that we get asked often so were gonna go and show you how to install the visors today. Alright on the sun visors there is a left side visor and a right side visor. If you notice the cut out here on the left versus the cutout on the right. This is for the rear view mirror in the orientation as it sits in the car. Also on the clips there is a right clip and a left clip as well. Alright we're already gone through and pulled out the passenger-side sun visor and clip. Where it's just three screws one for the clip. Rotate the clip ninety degrees and pull it out. Save the screw. Two clips for the visor itself. Our sun visors and clips are now out, again save the screws. To install the visor clip, insert it in the hole at ninety degrees and then twist down. Do the same thing for left and right. Then install the screws that you saved, or replace them with new if needed. Sun visor, we know its the drivers side because it has the shorter of the two cut outs, pop the visor up in place. Reuse the two screws to hold the mount back up in place. Out of the box, the metal mounting rod for the sun visors are pressed all the way in. When you install a sun visor the post may not necessarily meet up with the clip. You can twist the metal rod away from the sun visor completely until it comes out. It's not a big issue if it does just press it back in. Twist it out until that clip and the visor line up. There you can see the reason for the short cut out versus the long cut out. Short side, long side. We now have two brand new sun visors and clips installed and everything lines up as it should.
