OCAP VW Tie Rod End - Left Outer - Left Hand Thread

This left outer tie rod end made by Italian manufacturer OCAP connects the left side tie rod assembly to the spindle. It fits 1968 to 1977 Standard Beetle and 1968 to 1974 Karmann Ghia models from chassis #118857240 as well as 1973 to 1974 Thing. Tie rods are named for their function. They tie together the steering components. The tie rods carry the energy from the steering box to the spindle, which allows the driver to use the steering wheel in the cabin to turn the vehicle. The tie rod end has a 12x1.25mm threaded stud where it connects to the spindle and a 14x1.5mm left hand threads (LHT) where it goes into the tie rod sleeve. Sold individually and includes 19mm lock nut for mounting.
