The VW Headlight Wire Tubes protect the headlight wires and seal both the headlight bucket and the front trunk. The Headlight Wire Tubes route the headlight wires from the trunk to the back of the fender, keep the wires safe. The wire tubes are sold as a pair and fit 1968 through 1977 Standard Beetles and 1971 through 1979 Super Beetles. Original Part # 111941185C
Our Expert's Take:
Headlight wire tubes are notoriously tough to get installed in to the hole properly as they are a tight fit to ensure a proper water barrier.
We recommend using a silicone lubricant spray, and a small flathead pocket screwdriver to work in the edges of the tube one side at a time.
Start on one side and carefully work your way around the round tube while pressing the tube a bit at a time in to the hole in the body while being sure to keep the rubber lubricated.
Jaime started working at JBugs as a teen all the way back in the mid-90's; a customer turned employee buying parts for his own cars. He took a 10 year hiatus to become an ASE certified automotive technician, but eventually made his way back to his first love, VWs. In fact, Jaime has owned over 50 VWs including Beetles, Notchback, Squareback, Karmann Ghia, and Bus. His real passion is for building Baja Bugs and he has extensive experience in roll cage, chassis, and suspension fabrication. In his current role at JBugs he is responsible for quality control of products and technical support.
