It's possible your transmission is not original to your vehicle. Check for the guide sleeve (found on late models), and check what style throw-out bearing clips your bearing uses. If your throw out bearing has rollers on the side your vehicle is using an early-style throw-out bearing. If the throw out bearing has flat tabs on the sides then your vehicle is using a late-style throw-out bearing.
