The muffler installation gasket kit fits 40 horsepower 1200cc through 1600cc VW air cooled engines used in 1963-1974 VW Beetles and Karmann Ghias, and 1974 Things. The muffler gasket kit includes 2 gaskets for the exhaust ports at the head, 2 heat riser gaskets, 2 tail pipe gaskets, rings and clamps along with the hardware for the heat risers and tail pipes.

We recommend using new tail pipe clamp kits whenever replacing or adding tailpipes to a new muffler. Tailpipes and installation clamps are each sold separately.
