Note! - The cross members, jack supports and plates are not welded to the floor pan. We recommend leaving the factory cross member in place, and welding the pan on top of it. The jack support and plate will have to be welded to the pan if you choose to use them.
Left & Right Replacement Pan Halves
Heavy Duty .04" (18 Gauge) Thick
Jack Mounts, Center Seat Mounts & Rear Rails Included
Our Brand New Premium Replacement left and right side floor pans come complete with seat mounts and jack mounts. These are complete length & width floor pan halves and fit 1973 through 1977 VW Standard Beetles and 1973 through 1979 VW Super Beetles. The floor pans are 1.2mm thick and weigh 21.5 pounds each. (Purchasing front & rear patch sections will NOT make a complete floor pan). The 1973-79 VW floor pan features dual seat rails and the center hump. The center hump is included but may not be welded on at time of shipping as the manufacturer tries to consolidate size of package when shipping. This is an easy fix as installing floor pans requires welding on the tunnel side. Installation will require welding inner edge to chassis, just like original factory floor pans. Outer edge bolts to heat channel. Floor pan ships with black rust inhibitor. Floor pans will need to be sanded and primed prior to installation. Made in Brazil.
Our Expert's Take:
If your pans are beyond repair, don't waste your time with a cheap fiberglass patch, rivited in piece of sheet metal or worse, a piece of wood. Also note that if the pan is rusted through below the battery or opposite side, replacement rear quarter pans are not the correct shape for 1973 and later Beetles. Installing new floor pans can be done with the body on the chassis but will require trimming and of course welding for proper installation.
Floor pans are made from .04" (18 Gauge) Sheet Metal.
There is NO substitute for original German Floorpans. If you still have them it may be worth the cost and effort to restore your OEM pans. It may strike you as odd for a business to advice you to keep your original parts, however we've learned from personal experience and trying out multiple floorpan manufacturers over the years that there simply is nothing better than OEM. As classic VW restorers ourselves, we know it is not always possible to restore a floorpan that has been rusted out after 30-40 years of weather and rock salt. This is why we offer the best aftermarket metal floorpans we can find. They are stamped from solid metal and guaranteed to fit.Test fit your seats to the floor pan before welding the floor pans in place!
Test fitting your seats before installation insures that you don't do twice the work! Seats, floor pans and even the chassis could have been swapped so make sure you test fit your seat to the floor pan before installing it.A replacement pan to body seal
and floor pan hardware are recommended whenever installing new floor pans.We also recommend replacing the seat rail bushings when installing new floor pans.
