Product Description

The replacement front apron fits 1958 through 1967 VW Beetle Sedans, Sunroofs & Convertibles. The apron must be welded in place for proper fitment. It comes with a black anti-rust coating that should removed prior to primer and paint.

NOTE: Due to limited supply, our inventory may vary slightly. This apron may come with or without the decklid seal channel. If it does not come with the channel, you must weld it in place. You can find the channel for purchase on our site by visiting THIS LINK, or by searching part #111813311. If you require a particular style, please give us a call at 1-800-231-1784 to confirm we have them in stock at the time of purchase. The first, third and fourth images on this page show the apron WITH the channel, and the second image on this page shows one of our aprons WITHOUT the channel.



Test fit the apron before painting!

Previous accidents and body work can cause poor fitment of new sheet metal items. It is very important to test fit the apron before painting it. This will allow any necessary body work to either the body or the apron to be done BEFORE it is painted.

Install the hood latch and bumpers to ensure that everything fits and operates before painting. A little time spent before hand can save your fresh paint when assembling the front end later.

Once body work or paint work has been done to any sheet metal item, it can't be returned!

There are no exceptions! If after test fitting you feel the apron will not fit, DO NOT MODIFY IT. Once body work or paint work has been started, the apron can not be returned!


NOTE: All sheet metal parts are sent with a black, sprayed, rust inhibitor. This is NOT a paint or a primer. It must be removed prior to applying primer to the sheet metal.

This includes fenders, floor pans, aprons, deck lids ETC. Because this material is not a primer, it is not unusual for scratches to be found in this material. This does not effect the sheet metal as this material MUST BE REMOVED, thus also removing any scratches in the process. Of course dents would be considered excessive. All sheet metal is carefully inspected prior to shipping for dents. Any sheet metal that is received dented must be presented to the shipping carrier for a damage claim, REGARDLESS OF THE CONDITION OF THE BOX.

Shipping

Our shipping policy is as follows:
We ONLY ship within the United States and its territories.

Orders over $100 will receive free shipping within the continental United States. Freight on orders between $50 and $100 will be $9.95, and freight on orders between $0 and $49.99 will be $7.50. Large packages ship FedEx. Smaller packages ship US Priority Mail. Delivery time averages 1-5 business days depending on your distance from Southern California.

**Oversized products will be excluded from this policy. Shipping rates on oversized items will be calculated separately. The cost of oversized items will be applied to the total order and shipping on your other items will be calculated accordingly. Oversized items will be clearly labeled on the website and will include a drop down menu to estimate your cost of shipping.

Most orders to Hawaii, Alaska, APO/FPO, Puerto Rico and other US territories are shipped by the US Postal Service. The shipping costs for these orders are billed at the time of shipping.

For expedited shipping, you must call us. All express orders are personally handled by the representative you speak with in order to streamline the process. Please do not request express shipping via email. Emails are reviewed in the order they are received which could possibly delay your shipping.

Shipping on any returns is the customer's responsibility. If your order qualified for free shipping and a returned item reduces your order below the $100, you will be charged the according shipping cost for the order.

Returns

90 Day Return Policy

You can return most unused, never installed, like-new item for 90 days from the date of purchase. Items must be in like-new condition. The following items are final sale:
  • Special order items
  • Special order upholstery
  • Electrical items
  • Installed carburetors
Like-new Condition: JBugs may refuse a return when the returned item is not in like-new condition. These situations will lead to refused returns:
  • Installed items
  • Items missing parts or the original packaging material
  • Items damaged in return shipping due to improper packaging
  • Carburetors that smell like fuel
  • Damage due to customer negligence
  • Items with scour marks that show installation or attempted installation from nuts, bolts, screw-driver’s, washers, etc.
How to Start a Return:
  • Call JBugs at 800-231-1784
  • Request an Return Authorization.
  • Place a copy of your invoice or order confirmation inside the package.
  • Carefully package your items
  • Ship the items back to JBugs
  • Returns, refunds, and store credits are usually processed within 5 days upon receiving the items back.
Refunds, Exchanges, and Store Credit:
  • Refunds will be given for items returned within 90 days of purchase.
Return Shipping:
  • The customer is responsible for the return shipping charges except in cases where JBugs shipped the incorrect item.
Freight Charges:
  • Shipping charges are not refundable.
3rd Party Charges:
  • JBugs is not responsible for any 3rd party installation charges.
Re-Stocking Fee:
  • JBugs charges a 10% re-stocking fee on all returned items except in situation where JBugs shipped the incorrect item.
Received a Defective Item?
  • If you feel that you have received a defective item, please contact our technical support team at 800-231-1784 ext. 3. If the item is deemed defective by our staff, we will replace or refund the product and any shipping charges.
If a product does not fit because your vehicle has been modified or customized in the last 40+ years, it does not definitively mean the item is defective. If you have an issue due to fitment, we will help you find the right parts. We are here to help.
