VW Lower Door Hinge - Left

This lower door hinge fits the left (driver) side. Requires 3 door hinge to body screws at the door pillar mount and 3 door hinge to body screws at the door mount (screws not included). New door hinges are built to have the leverage of a roughly 30" long door attached to them. Without the leverage, the hinges are extremely tight. Attach a door and they become normal quickly.

Note: All 1961 and earlier Beetles (and some early 1962 models) used a 4-bolt door hinge. This unit is not a direct fit for 1956-1961 Beetles, but can be modified to work by drilling a fourth hole in the hinge.

These work really well. These are going to seem extremely tight when first received. This is due to the lack of leverage that the door provides. Once attached to a door these work and feel like original.
