VW Intake Manifold - Dual Port - with Heat Risers
**Contiguous U.S. only.
Helpful HintsOn occasion we see manifolds that either due to manufacturing variances and the supplier wanting to either fit all possible stroker engine combinations, or simply not checking the reproduction manifold versus a stock manifold, the tubes on the intake manifolds and the heat riser will have to be trimmed to length before installation.
32mm (1 1/4") off the 3-4 (left) side intake tube
48mm (1 7/8") off the 3-4 (left) side heat riser tube
We whole heartedly wish this wasn't the case but until the supplier runs through their incorrect stock or demands a better product, this is what is available to the industry. We are working as hard as possible to find another solution but for now trimming is required. We use a pipe cutter (the intake tube is 1 3/8" diameter) for the cleanest cut, but you can use a sawzall, hack saw, cut off wheel, etc.
Whereever you source your intake manifold, make sure you check the fitment! The cross tube from end casting to end casting should be measure roughly 16.75" to 17.75" across. The variation being that the intake manifold can and should slightly enter into each end casting.
