The 113311541 transmission shift lever, shift selector or "hockey stick" was originally used by VW starting in 1959 at chassis number 469506 in reduction box equipped Type 2 Bus models. The ever resourceful VW community found that by using a combination of this lever, along with the early Bus nose cone, a late model (syncro-mesh, 1961 and later) can be installed in a 1960 and earlier Type 1 Beetle or Karmann Ghia. Very handy for those that want to replace their old, worn split-case transmissions.
