22.2mm(7/8")Internal Diameter (Bore Size) Wheel Cylinder
VW Front Wheel Cylinders are bolted to the backing plate inside the front brake drum and connect to the master cylinder with hydraulic hoses
and brake lines. The wheel cylinders use hydraulic pressure to push the brake shoes into the brake drums through pistons inside the cylinders
to stop the brake drum from spinning. The Front Wheel Cylinder fits 1958 through 1977 Standard Beetles, 1958 through 1966 Karmann Ghias and
1973 through 1974 Things. The wheel cylinders are made in Europe, sold individually and fit the left or right side.
Note the 113611057B, wheel cylinder has been superceded to the 131611057 wheel cylinder.
Brake components (like most things nowadays) are made around the world, by various manufacturers. A German brake component comes from a German manufacturing company that may have numerous factories around the globe. Regardless of where the part is made, if it is labeled as a German part, it comes from a German company that has manufactured that component at a facility that is owned by them, and it is made to their high standards of quality and fitment.
