Fuel Tank Sending Float

Outputs 73 ohms (empty) to 10 ohms (full)
Installs in the top opening of the fuel tank

The VW fuel tank sending float installs into the top opening of the fuel tank. The unit has an electrical connection which sends a resisted ground signal to the gauge to provide the reading. The sending unit outputs 73 (empty tank) to 10 (full tank) ohms. The sending unit seal (P/N 111-135) is sold separately.

It is not uncommon for new fuel gauges to read at 1/4 or even 1/2 full at empty. There are 2 adjustments holes on the back of the fuel gauge, the range adjustment at the top, and the zero adjustment at the bottom. Both can be used along with the stops on the sending unit to adjust the gauge. If you have any questions regarding the adjustment feel free to give us a call.
