These 1956-1964 VW Beetle Convertible vinyl door panels come as a full set of front and rear panels, 4 pieces total. You can choose the material and colors you want for the base and the insert. These door panels are the perfect complement for 2-Tone or 12 inch insert seat upholstery. These panels are made by TMI with high quality components and attention to detail.
Door Panels - Front & Rear
- Kit includes front and rear door panels on both the driver and passenger sides
- Door panel colors match our seat upholstery colors
- Available with our without pockets
- Masonite backing for superior durability
- High quality vinyl, not the vinyl-film stuff used in "economy" door panels
- The clips and seals required to install the door panels are sold separately. We recommend replacing them if you haven't replaced them recently
Pockets vs. No Pockets
- The cars originally came with a pocket in the door panel on the front, driver's side panel
- The pocket it essentially an elastic pouch
- If you actually store stuff in the pocket, the elastic will wear out, stretch, and be droopy in a couple of years
- If you like the look of the pocket, order them with the pocket
- If you don't like the look of the pocket, don't get the pocket
- Just know, if you get the pockets and you use the pocket, it will wear out and look sloppy in a couple of years

Door Panel Preparation:
We highly recommend (AND IS REQUIRED TO WARRANTY ON THE PANELS) installing a "Vapor Barrier" before installing the door panels. ANY WATER DAMAGE TO THE PANEL WILL VOID THEIR WARRANTY.We use a plastic "painters tarp" cut down to fit, just smaller than the panel. Then use a small bead of silicone around the edge of the metal. Run a small bead around the door handle posts, armrest mounts and window crank posts as well. Then place the vapor barrier in place, poking holes for the cranks, etc.
Then install the door panel clip seals (just poke a hole in the plastic tarp before pushing the seal in place) and install your new door panels!
