Installation Instructions:
Step 1:
Set the outside scraper in place with the inner lip overlaping the metal lip inside the window opening.
Masking tape can be used to hold the rubber in place.
Step 2:
Locate the 5 molding clip holes under the rubber strip.
Step 3:
Use an awl to punch through the rubber at all 5 holes.
Step 4:
The result should be clean holes that allow the molding clips to be installed.
Step 5:
Insert the 5 clips into the outside scraper molding. Line them up with the holes in the rubber.
Step 6:
Press the molding into place on the door. Pull the rubber lip that overlaps the molding so the molding can set in place properly.
Step 7:
Trim the remaining rubber that extends past the molding along the edge of the door.
A new razor blade and a flexible plastic board (an old credit card works well) can be used so the blade does not cut into the paint.
Step 8:
Trim the overlapping rubber at both ends to suit the molding and the A-pillar seals at the front.
Your Rubber Scraper Installation is complete.
