2-Speed Windshield Wiper Switch for Dash-Mounted Applications

Three-position switch: off, low, and high speed
Includes pneumatic diaphragm for washer nozzle
5mm threaded post fits standard dash knob

This 2-speed windshield wiper switch is designed for dash-mounted applications on early 1968 through 1971 Volkswagens. The switch features three positions (off-on-on) to control two-speed wiper motors and includes an integrated pneumatic diaphragm that activates the windshield washer spray through the center of the threaded post. A 14mm dash escutcheon secures the switch to the dash, and a 5mm threaded post allows for knob installation. Dash nut and knob are sold separately.

The 1962-67 two-speed wiper switch looks very similar to the 1968-71 two-speed wiper switch.
The difference is the mounting escutcheon. 1962-67 uses a 10mm escutcheon. 1968-71 uses a 14mm escutcheon.

31B - SWITCHED GROUND TO WIPER SWITCH
53A - PARK POSISTION (54 on early model wiper motors/switches)
53 - SPEED 1 (54D on early model wiper motors/switches)
53B - SPEED 2

Some wiper switches or motors may have only 2 or 3 terminals. Wire up your original motor to the terminals or their cross over number listed above.
