This heavy duty, urethane shift coupler is compatible with the 1965-1979 Beetle and Super Beetle, 1965-1974 Karmann Ghia, 1968-1979 Type 2s, and all Type 3s. The key improvement on this unit is the two inserts for the cage have been made out of urethane so the shifter linkage will be much tighter and responsive. This is a "Must-do" upgrade for almost every car out there that uses this late style shift coupler.

Don't Forget: Safety Wire is required for proper installation of this part. Safety wire is not included with this product, but is available at many fine auto-parts stores.

Road Vibration on the shift coupler could loosen screws, causing them to fall out while driving. Loctite will not adhere to urethane, and the screws could loosen over time from vibration as well. For this reason we highly recommend using safety-wire to secure your screws in place.

The screw heads on this product are pre-drilled for use with safety wire.
