EMPI VW Alternator and Generator Pulley - Billet Aluminum - Black

3-piece CNC milled billet aluminum, hard anodized for a durable finish
Requires specialty shims (P/N 16-9709) to adjust belt tension
Requires specialty nut and washer (P/N 16-9708) or stock hardware
Outer diameter approximately 4.25"/108mm; pulley ratio approx. 1:1.64

This EMPI 3-piece billet aluminum pulley is CNC milled and hard anodized black for a durable finish. It fits 12-volt alternator and generator applications and requires specialty shims to adjust belt tension, plus a specialty nut and washer (or original hardware) to secure it. The outer diameter is approximately 4.25"/108mm. Paired with a standard 7"/177mm crank pulley, the ratio is approximately 1:1.64, very close to the factory ratio.

Please Note: This pulley requires square billet shims (P/N 16-9709) and a chrome pulley nut and washer (P/N 16-9708).

Remember to always use 10 5 Shims.

When installing billet pulley shims, which are thicker than the stock shims, you must use all 5 shims total to achieve proper spacing. Shims can be moved from either inside or outside.

Inside: Moving shims inside spaces pulley halves and loosens belt.

Outside: Moving shims outside closes halves together and tightens belt.
