EMPI and world renowned automotive designer, Chip Foose collaborated on a line of custom parts and where as most of them are centered around buggies, these spring plate caps will fit 1960 to 1968 Standard Beetles, 1960 to 1968 Karmann Ghias and 1962 to 1968 Type 3 models with swing axle transmissions. The Foose designed spring plate caps were created using Chip’s concept sketches and SolidWorks CAD. Then the EMPI team CNC machined these caps with an engraved Foose Design logo in 6061 T-6 aluminum for a perfect fit. From there the caps are either bead blasted, polished, or black anodized to fit whatever look you're going for and secure in place with the included hardware and the caps are sold as a pair.

Spring Plate Bushings

We recommend installing new spring plate bushings when installing the new caps.
