EMPI's Ball Joint Front 4x130 4 Lug Disc Brake Kit fits Ball Joint Front End VW Beetles from 1966 through 1977 and 1966 Karmann Ghias. This kit will replaces your stock spindles with stock VW style (modeled after 1967 and later Ghia) disc brake spindles and greatly improves the stopping power for your Vintage VW. The disc brake kit includes new spindles, front rotors, calipers & pads, mounting hardware and instructions. 1966 through May 1968 Beetles and Ghias will need late model inner bearings, wheel seals and outer tie rod ends to use this disc brake conversion kit. The later model parts can be found in the Additional Options tab. 1967 and later Karmann Ghias with factory disc brakes can use this kit for replacement parts for missing or damaged parts.

1966 through May of 1968 models will need to swap to 1968.5 through 1977 Outer Tie Rod Ends, Inner Wheel Bearings and Inner Wheel Seals.

(The brake pads used are softer than other types, making them quieter for the driving experience. All brake parts must be thoroughly cleaned and disc brake grease must be used on all piston to pad contact surfaces or brake squeak and vibration may occur.)
Please Note: This product is compatible with 15 inch wheels. It will NOT fit 14 inch wheels.

A Large Bore Master Cylinder should be used if converting to 4 wheel disc brakes.
