    • EMPI's Bolt On Ball Joint Front 4x130 4 Lug Disc Brake Kit fits Ball Joint Front End VW Beetles from 1966 through 1977 and 1966 Karmann Ghias. The kit includes a caliper bracket that mounts to the stock height, drum brake spindle and greatly improves the stopping power for your Vintage VW. The disc brake kit includes caliper brackets, calipers & pads, mounting hardware and instructions. The bolt on disc brake conversion kit will not fit with stock VW disc brake, drop spindles or disc brake drop spindles.

    This Disc Brake Conversion Kit includes the following:

    Silver Zinc Plated Cross Drilled & Slotted Brake Rotors
    (4x130 Lug Pattern with 14x1.5 Threads)
    Brake Calipers & Pads
    Caliper Mounting Brackets
    Mounting Hardware & Instructions

    Installation Notes:
    Your original bearings and races can be re-used. New disc brake wheel seals must be installed. You can add the kit from the options above.

    All brake parts must be thoroughly cleaned and disc brake grease must be used on all brake pad contact surfaces or brake squeak and vibration may occur.

    15" or larger wheels must be used with the disc brake kit. 14" wheels can not be used.

    The stock master cylinder can be used with front disc brakes. However, if you are converting to 4 wheel disc brakes, you must install a large bore master cylinder.
