VW Westfalia Bus Pop-Top Camper Seal - Large Top

3M black weatherstrip adhesive is recommended for installation (sold separately). Apply a thin layer of adhesive inside the seal lips where the seal makes contact with the pop top. Let the seal and adhesive sit in the sun for 5-10 minutes until the adhesive becomes tacky. This also warms up the rubber seal making it more malleable and easier to work. We also recommend adding a thin bead of adhesive along the pop-top edge and allowing that to become tacky before proceeding.

To install, start pressing the new seal onto the pop-top from either end and work your way around the perimeter. The metal insert clip-on seal goes around the bottom base of the pop-top with the "rubber hoop" facing inside. The rubber strip installs along the closing edge towards the luggage rack with the long lip facing outwards from the top. Use a soft rubber mallet to gently tap the seal into place as you work your way around. Cut any excess seal with a sharp blade or strong scissors.
