Weber VW Progressive Intake Manifold Kit - Type 1 and 2

Fits all Type 1 based dual port 1600cc and larger engines using stock heads
Includes heat risers, hardware, gaskets, and intake manifold boots with clamps
Stock style mount at the bottom to bolt to the case stud

This intake manifold fits all Type 1 based dual port 1600cc and larger engines using stock heads. The carburetor base flange accepts Weber and EMPI dual barrel progressive style carburetors. The heat riser tubes insert into tubes underneath the manifold at either side and attach to the heat riser ports on the exhaust.

Check fitment before installation. The cross tube from end casting to end casting should measure roughly 16.75" to 17.75". Due to manufacturing variances, the tubes on the intake manifold and heat riser may need to be trimmed, and the aluminum casting may need to be cut back before installation. The heat riser hole in the manifold is not drilled all the way through, so the manifold will need to be drilled from side to side for the heat risers to operate properly.

Often times when running a progressive series carburetor with an alternator, there may be clearance issues between the alternator and the carburetor. DO NOT CLEARANCE THE CARBURETOR. The alternator can be ground down to clear, or running a carburetor spacer (17-2980) may solve the clearance issue.
