EMPI's 15x5.5" Aluminum GT-5 Wheel has a 5x205 VW lug pattern and includes a chrome center cap with EMPI logo and chrome capped valve stem. The wheel has a polished aluminum lip and a silver painted face. The offset or ET of the aluminum wheel is 20mm, the back spacing is 4" and the 5x205 drilled pattern requires 60 degree conical seat lug nuts or lug bolts. The wheel is manufactured by EMPI with state of the art high quality machining and finishing.

Recommended Lugs

The Beetles and Bus both use the 5x205 bolt pattern through 1967. However, the threads on Beetle brake drums and rotors are 12mm while the threads on Bus drums and rotors are 14mm.

Note on the lug bolts: The lug bolts list above are 24mm long to accomodate the aftermarket, alloy wheels. If you have drum brakes, depending on the brake hardware, the lug nuts may interfere with the pins and springs inside the drum. Our brake hardware kits work with these lug nuts. If you have brake hardware kits from elsewhere, you may have to trim the lug nuts to a length shorter than 24mm. Most brake drums don't have an issue.
