The Bilstein Shock absorber fits the rear of IRS 1968 to 1977 Standard Beetles, 1971 to 1979 Super Beetles, IRS 1968 to 1974 Karmann Ghias and 1973 to 1974 Things. The monotube nitrogen charged shock has application specific valving. The rough overall eye to eye measurements are 16 1/8" extended, 10 1/2" compressed length and the shock has a stroke length of roughly 5 5/8". The eyelets at the upper and lower ends of the shock have a 12mm (just under 1/2") inner diameter sleeve.
