VW Super Beetles have been prone to have a horrible shake in the front end as the front suspension components wear, so much so to the point the problem has
earned the nickname of the "Super Beetle Shimmy". Our 1975 to 1979 Super Beetle Front Suspension Rebuild Kit is the first step to curing the problem. Our
base suspension rebuild kit includes new ball joints, KYB strut inserts and urethane control arm grommets and bushings. If you want to lower the front of
your 1975 to 1979 Super Beetle while rebuilding the front suspension we also offer EMPI's adjustable front assemblies which will lower your front end 2
to 4 inches. We've also assembled the most commonly needed steering and suspension pieces with the kit if needed. New front springs, upper strut mount bearing
assemblies and tie rod assemblies can all be added to the kit if needed.
Ball Joints & Control Arm Bushings:
Ball Joints press in to the bottom of the strut assembly and attach the assembly to the spindle and allow the strut assemblies to pivot.
Our Urethane Control Arm Bushing Kit includes bushings and sleeves for the control arm at the chassis, bushing and sleeves for the sway bar at the control arm and grommets for the sway bar to chassis. Urethane is far more durable than the stock rubber grommets that VW originally installed.

Strut Inserts & Assemblies:
Strut inserts are the actual shock absorber in a McPherson Strut Assembly. The insert sits inside the strut housing and controls the ride of the car. We offer KYB Strut Inserts for the stock strut inserts or if you want to lower the front of your Super Beetle, we offer EMPI's Adjustable Strut Assemblies. The strut assemblies bolt in place of the stock strut housing and require shorter strut inserts, which are included with our kit. The assemblies lower your car 2 inches and are adjustable to a maximum drop of 4 inches.
Strut Mount Bearings & Springs:
Replacement Strut Mount Bearings are available if your existing units are frozen, damaged or missing. The strut mounts allow the strut unit to rotate as needed when steering.
New, stock replacement springs are available for Super Beetles if your springs have been cut, are sagging or are missing. The springs are sold as a pair and fit the original strut assemblies as well as our aftermarket adjustable housings.

Tie Rod Assemblies:
The 1975 through 1979 Super Beetles use a rack and pinion steering box. The left and right tie rod assemblies connect to the steering rack at either side and attach to the left or right spindle. The left and right tie rod assemblies are interchangeable.

Orders over $100 will receive free shipping within the continental United States. Freight on under $100 will be $9.95. Large packages ship FedEx. Smaller packages ship US Priority Mail. Delivery time averages 1-5 business days after it ships.

90 Day Return PolicyYou can return most unused, never installed, like-new items for 90 days from the date of receipt. Items must be in like-new condition. The following items are final sale:
- Special order items
- Special order upholstery
- Electrical items
- Installed carburetors
- Installed items
- Items missing parts or the original packaging material
- Items damaged in return shipping due to improper packaging
- Carburetors that smell like fuel
- Damage due to customer negligence
- Items with scour marks that show installation or attempted installation from nuts, bolts, screw-driver’s, washers, etc.
Returns must be sent in a proper shipping box.
With the exception of parts that are shipped to you in the original manufacturer packaging (example - TMI door panels, floor pans, complete front beams, etc), please be sure to return the parts with an external box or protective packaging around the parts you are returning. Most manufacturer packaging boxes are not rated for shipping and can become damaged or destroyed as they are too thin to withstand forces applied during the shipping process. Failure to do so will result in a higher restocking/reboxing fee or outright refusal of the return if the part cannot be restocked in the same condition it arrived at you. How to Start a Return:
- Call JBugs at 800-231-1784
- Request an Return Authorization. Do not ship your return back to us until you have an RMA.
- Place a copy of your invoice or order confirmation inside the package.
- Carefully package your items
- Ship the items back to the JBugs return address listed on the RMA. Keep your tracking information for proof of delivery.
- Once you receive a Return Authorization, all returns must be shipped back to our AZ address.
- Returns shipped to our administration office may be subject to a higher restocking fee.
- Returns, refunds, and store credits are usually processed within 5 days upon receiving the items back.
- We are not responsible for tracking returns shipped without an RMA.
- Refunds, exchanges, or store credits will be given for items returned within 90 days of receipt.
- Refunds are issued to your original payment method.
- The customer is responsible for the return shipping charges except in cases where JBugs shipped the incorrect item.
- Shipping charges are not refundable.
- JBugs is not responsible for any 3rd party installation charges.
- Returns will be subject to a 20% restocking fee except in a situation where JBugs shipped the incorrect item.
