This is my 1969 Westfalia. In high school my friends and I had a garage band and we always dreamed of getting a van and touring the country DIY style in it to play shows. When I turned 18 I found this old Bus on Craigslist being sold out of western VA. I bought it for $1000 and had no idea what I got myself into. I don’t think anything worked on the old girl when I bought her, and I soon found out she had been canabalized for parts in more than one spot. I spent summers and Christmases home from college working on her. A full engine rebuild, new brake system, steering, suspension, and new paint later. We have lots of fun together down in the Texas gulf coast.
