1967 VW Bug

I purchased this 1967 Bug in February of 2019 as a beater with the intent of restoring it to the exact showroom condition of the same color Bug I purchased new in September of 1966.
I spent the next 19 months and spent far too much money stripping it to bare metal, repairing a bit of rust, getting it professionally painted L282 (Lotus White); putting in red tweed TMI interior; replacing the tires 1500 motor with a zero miles 1600 dual port; replacing nearly every part with new (most from JBugs); overhauling the brakes and adding disc brakes up front.
Due to COVID restrictions I have only been able to enter the Bug in one car show. It won 1st in Class at the Palm Springs Air Museum’s 25th Annual Desert Classic Car Show in October, 2020.
