I bought her in 1971 and have had her since then. She's part of the family. We've been through four engine fires in almost 50 years and four paint jobs. She had her last paint job in 2019 and is continuing in restoration. New this, new that, etc. I've heard the only cure for BUGMANIA is DEATH. For me that may be true. ;-) I just know that she's my trademark. I have adults (who are 30 to 50) who grew up with me giving them rides in her when they were kids and they always ask me when I see them, do you still have the Bug. I've decided to buy two burial plots, side by side, and when they dig my hole just slope one end and bury me in MY BUG. ;-) Thanks JBugs for keeping me in supply with new parts all the way here in Arkansas.
