I inherited this Volkswagen from my grandfather when I graduated high school in 2016. He owned it for several years before he handed it off to me. It's not a family heirloom, but it probably will be from here.

I still drive him often. His name is Bouglas as our family name is Douglas. My father and I have done a lot of work to the car, and this year we put a clear coat over the original paint to preserve the original paint and give it a patina look.

I absolutely love my Volkswagen. It's special to me because it was my grandfather's car and he passed away not long after handing it over to me. I am continuing improving the car for him, and for my own enjoyment. There is nothing like preserving your grandfather's car.
