Introducing our JBugs, bolt-on, front disc brake kit that fits VW Beetles from 1966-1977 and 1966 Karmann Ghias. This kit uses Zimmerman brand, German made brake rotors with the 4x130 stock VW 4-lug bolt pattern. The kit includes a forged caliper bracket that mounts to the stock height, drum brake spindle, and greatly improves the stopping power for your vintage VW. Many other kits on the market use a cast caliper bracket, but this kit uses a forged bracket for extra strength. The disc brake kit includes caliper brackets, calipers & pads, mounting hardware, and instructions. The bolt-on disc brake conversion kit will only work with stock, drum brake spindles. If you have drop spindles, factory disc brake spindles, or disc brake drop spindles, this kit will not fit.

This Disc Brake Conversion Kit includes the following:

• 4x130 4-lug pattern German brake rotors with 14x1.5 threads
• Brake calipers and pads
• Forged caliper mounting brackets
• Mounting hardware and instructions

Quick Bleeder Valves Save Time & Effort

We recommend adding 7x1.0 quick bleeder valves when installing this disc brake kit. You will need to bleed the brakes, it's never fun, but the quick bleeders save you time, effort, and a headache. The quick bleeders have a one-way check valve that allows air and brake fluid out, and they don't allow air back in. Install the quick bleeders, open up the valve, start pumping the brakes and when you get consistent, constant, clean brake fluid, close them up and move on to the next wheel.

Installation Notes:

• Your original bearings and races can be reused. New disc brake wheel seals must be installed. There are two options, depending on the year of your vehicle, and you can add them to the kit from using drop-down options above.
• All brake parts must be thoroughly cleaned, and disc brake grease must be used on all brake pad contact surfaces, or brake squeak and vibration may occur.
• 15" or larger wheels must be used with the disc brake kit. 14" wheels can not be used.
• The stock master cylinder can be used with front disc brakes. However, if you are going to add a rear disc brake kit and convert to four-wheel disc brakes, you must install a large bore master cylinder.
