I found this 1959 Beetle in a backyard near Garden Grove while working in the area. My first through third cars were Beetles in my life, and I always wanted to do a full body off build to the levels of the dream cars I saw at the Jamboree in Irvine as a teen. I purchased the car and brought it home when I lived in Dana Point, with the help of my brother and brother in law we added the rag top, stripped the body, and with another friends help we competed the body work and paint.

I got married and began having kids and the car sat idle for 9 years, while we also moved to Canyon Lake, in the Inland Empire. After the 9 long years I was finally in a position to complete the car, and met up with my highschool friend Pete Skiba from Airkewld at the Prado show, and ordered all of my brakes and air suspension. With the kids now old enough to help the entire family got involved and we completed the pan and drive train and assembled the entire car by ourselves, and got in on the road!!!
