My car is a 1971 Ghia that formerly belonged to my oldest brother, Jerry. Jerry passed away suddenly on Dec 29, 2024. His wife told me she just wanted to get the car out of her garage. It had been sitting without driving or running for over 25 years.
I know Jerry loved this car but after having a minor accident he had parked it. He thought the repair shop wanted too much money for repairs. I had ridden with him in the past and can testify that he drove it hard and loved to take corners fast. It is a blast to drive!
It required a lot of mechanical and body work but I was glad to have it running again, in his honor. I’m appreciate JBugs for being able to supply much of the repair items. You don’t find many Ghia convertibles in a junkyard.
