VW Transmission Nose Cone Chassis Bracket - Weld in

Stock replacement steel mount - must be welded in place
Replace a damaged or missing chassis bracket
Convert earlier or later chassis to the common 2 bolt mount

The weld in replacement front transmission mount bracket welds in place to the rear torsion housing and is the attachment point for the nose cone transmission mount at the front of the transmission. This 2 bolt mount was originally used on 1961 through 1972 Beetle, Super Beetle, Karmann Ghia and 1973 through 1974 Thing models. It can be used on earlier and later chassis so that the common 2 bolt nose cone transmission and mount can be used. This is handy for 1960 and earlier models that had either one year only nose cone mounts and split case transmissions or 1973 and later models that had 3 bolt nose cones.
