VDO Cockpit Series Ammeter Gauge

This VDO Cockpit Series Ammeter Gauge features a sleek grey face with an orange arm. This gauge provides a maximum readout of 60 AMP with a 2 1/16" diameter. To properly install an amp gauge requires wiring it inline in between the battery and the alternator which requires a lot of wiring. In vehicles with the engine and the battery in the back of the car, it doesn't make much sense. Using a voltmeter in aircooled Volkswagens is an easier way to keep an eye on the electrical system.
