This is my 1974 VW Thing I have owned for about six years now. It started out new as an Acapulco edition and then was camouflaged and went to someone’s deer camp. I decided not to go back original as I don’t really care for the look of the Acapulco and wanted something more to date. I have completely stripped the vehicle down to bare metal and did a new repaint and lots of new parts throughout, some of which came from JBugs when available. It is not a show car but a weekend driver for us as we enjoy riding around all the country roads we have here in Texas.
