PRObuilt - VW Steering Gear Box - Beetle - Karmann Ghia - Type 3 - Thing - Small Shaft

This original VW Type 1 Steering Box has been completely and professionally rebuilt by the PRObuilt team at Airkewld with attention to detail everywhere. The VW Steering box is direct replacement unit for 1962 through 1977 Standard Beetles, 1962 through 1974 Karmann Ghias, 1962 through 1973 Type 3s and 1973 through 1974 Things. The replacement steering box is a 24mm, "small shaft" unit and will fit the 1962 and later pitman arms as well as the 17-2566 or 17-2567 replacement pitman arms. If you have a 1961 and earlier model Beetle or Ghia you can use the 17-2566 (1962 to 1968 Pitman Arm) to install this box in place of the early style large shaft steering box. For reference, the input shaft size is 16mm/62 spline.
